| Applicator
Systems hoses can be used for a variety of purposes, such as gas sampling,
transferrring and heating adhesives, potting materials, coatings,
chemicals, petroleum products, plastics, and other applications that
require a heated line for process performance and improved flow behavior. |

| Beware.
With some manufacturers, once the sleeving is on all bets are off.
At Applicator Systems, our technicians combine the correct materials
for your application from the core outward. |
| |
 |
| |
The
most important element of a heated hose is the core. The inner hose
is made of high grade PTFE (Teflon) tubing with 304 stainless steel
braded around the outer surface. The reinforced Teflon tube assures
the most efficient transfer of molten materials.
PTFE tubing is resistant to almost all acids, solvents, and hydrocarbons.
Combined with the stainless steel braid, you get outstanding resistance
to heat, pressure, pulsing, flexing, and vibration. |
| |
 |
| |
Applicator
Systems offers a selection of fittings to meet a broad range of application
needs. Fittings employ a progressive swaging method of attachment.
The use of this method is based on extensive development and engineering.
The Teflon inner core and stainless overbraid lock firmly between
the fitting collar and insert for a permanent, leak- proof assembly.
The positive braid lock assures that any strain is absorbed by the
braid, not the Teflon hose. A crimp method may be used in certain
applications. Whatever your application, we have the correct fitting
to mate with your machine.

| Heating
elements in Applicator Sustems hoses are made of high-grade heat-conducting
alloys that are KAPTON insulated. The element is spiral-wrapped around
the hose on a bedding layer of silicone tape and/or fiberglass. |

| The
PTFE insulated control leads are spiral-wrapped around the hose/heater
assembly. When required, the cordset may run the length of the hose
to provide control and electrical power to the gun or other dispensing
device. |

| Several
layers of fiberglass. Aramid, and polyester insulate the hose/heater
assembly. The insulation is 100% fiber that is mechanically bonded:
it contains no resins, fillers, or other materials that may harden,
melt, or become brittle in a continuous high temperatureenvironment.
The fiberglass/aoramid insulation can be used for opertion in an environment
of up to 750?F. |

| All
Applicator Systems hoses are capable of continous, efficient service
at sustained temperatures ranging from –100%F to +500?F. Higher operating
temperatures may be obtained by the use of special materials. |

To
regulate the operating temperature of the assembly, one of several
types of temperature sensors can be used-R.T.D. (resistance temperature
detector), thermistor, thermocouple, or thermostat. All temperature
control devices are engineered for 100% compatibility with existing
hot melt equipment, whether Nordson, LTI, Mercer, Meltex, Accumeter,
Valco, Slautterback, Pyles, Spraymation, or others.
Applicator Systems' "Power Brick" temperature controllers
can be used when power and control are required for applications where
no controller exists. This simple, low cost temperature controller
offers accurate temperature control for Applicator Systems' custom
hoses.

| The
standard hose covering is a polyester braid that provide abrasion
resistance. Other covering material options are available, including
neoprene for water resistance, braided silicon treated fiberglass
for high heat resistance, or colored polyester to aid in color
coding and identification. |
